We took advantage of a quiet day to visit the Civil War Shilow Battlefield and National Cemetery. The National Cemetery has 3584 graves with all but three for Union Soldiers. There are 1227 Known and 2357 unknown soldiers. Confederate soldiers are buried in multiple mass graves outside of the cemetery proper and are therefore all unknown soldiers. Below are a few photos.
